… e allora Mambo! (como dice Vinicio Capossela) es la frase que me sale al saltar del autobús en la plaza del Politeama. Mambo sudando! es la frase que viene después (en la canción y en el caminar por Palermo), porque allí hace un calor del demonio y te da la risa floja … Las sirenas estridentes de las ambulancias te marean, y entre bocina y bocina, te persiguen palabras bellas y se te clavan miradas oscuras. A cada paso descubres una sorpresa y cada puerta, enorme, puede esconder detrás una joya. Monumental, sucia, folclórica, ruidosa, exótica, marinera, tremendamente bella, cariñosa …

Palermo y la alegría de vivir.

… e allora Mambo! (like Vinicio Capossela says) it’s the sentence that comes to my mind hopping off the bus in Politeama Square. Sweating Mambo! its the sentence right after that (in the song, and walking around Palermo), because there is some serious heating going on there that makes your legs wobble… The loud sirens from the ambulances make me dizzy and between the loud noice, I remark beautiful words and dark stares. Every step I take is a surprise to discover and every huge door can hide a wonder. Monumental, dirty, traditional, noisy, exotic, naval, tremendously charming, loving…
